TimNicolette was a wonderful host - very helpful, warm and engaging company, and also left us plenty of space to explore on our own. The house is a eco-treat, it was inspiring to see how she lives and what she has achieved. The dog and cat were our new friends while we were there. I would recommend this experience to anyone.
Great place to relax and connect with nature. Truly a sanctuary. A lot of ski slopes nearby and hiking trails. Nicolette was very carring and helpful with everything we needed. She made our stay very pleasent. Thank you Nicolette for everything! Keep up the good work!
I think this is the first place on Airbnb that is much better than I expected. All the photos are real and exactly from the house and area but to be there is undescribable good! The house looks great, I love all the wood materials used, the fireplace, the veranda, the lakes, our lovely double room with the perfect view because of the glass wall! The board games are really good idea. We didn't miss anything - had water, electricity a.s.o. but definitely tried to live "off-grid" for several days. I love the light in the house because of the windows on its roof - it was magnificent and fantastic to stay there! The big wood table left me speechless - I want the same now :)) Nicolette is a great host and I definitely and already recommended her and her place. She recommended us towns and places to visit and eat in the area. Tarla and the cat (I forgot its name, as she never stopped by :D :) are nice and fluffy company. Also, I noticed the beautiful colourful birds, eating in front of the kitchen window - lovely! I can't wait to come back to this place - would like to visit it during each season, as I am sure it is beautiful in different ways! Also, would definitely like to make some longer walks to the river and hills maybe. Thank you, Nicolette, health and happiness all the year! ;-)
This is a truly outstanding place to stay. Even though 'off grid' which I loved, the amenities do provide the home comforts and far exceeded my expectations. It's easy to get into the local town if that's what you want. As well as the beautiful accommodation and wood features which have been hand crafted by Nicolette and local craftspeople, the outside space stunning including 2 large ponds. I loved taking photos of the local nature, 'winter wonderland' and sunrise. I imagine this airbnb would be a nature lovers or photographers paradise! I will definitely return and highly recommend!
This was indeed a beautiful and unique experience in Nicolette`s beautiful house, located in the heart of nature. The design of the house is very natural, warm and cosy, much better than it can be distinguished in the pictures. The host gave us space, but also delighted us with good and inspiring conversation. The experience was more than a retreat, because we had the opportunity to learn that living off grid isn’t so difficult, quite the contrary, one can have the luxuries from the modern world, but in a decent amount that is not wastefully. We were really impressed of the courage and determination of Nicolette to create such a beautiful place in the middle of the nature. It was a complete experience that we will certainly never forget, and we are looking forward to visit her again. We highly recommend this place at least once in a lifetim
Had an awesome 3 night stay and and can say the house was very clean, beautifully decorated and designed by Nicolette, with awesome views and perfect for animal lovers thanks to her pets: a young german shepherd and a carpathian cat. We enjoyed relaxing in the living room, sitting by the fire and playing board games. We also had a fun time being visited by a deer family just in front of the house. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to people looking for a unique retreat! Thank you Nicolette for all!
This is the second time I have stayed at Forest Garden. I was so blown away at the incredible location and surrounding nature, that I’m thinking of planning photographic holidays to the area. My second trip didn’t disappoint, the house is truly spectacular, warm fire, comfy bed, fascinating host and the surrounding land/forest let’s you feel like your staying in your own parkland. The off grid situation was fine, plenty of water from the taps and enough electricity - just makes you appreciate it more when you know it’s all captured from nature. Great stay and highly recommend. Regards, Dave.
What can I say about our visit to Forest Garden? Amazing, beautiful, Nature, Stunning ... Pre comes were great and we easily made our way from England (Stanstead - Bucarest) up into the Carpathian mountains by train. The pictures on the site looked great but when we arrived at the house it was just beyond anything we had hoped for. The house is huge & stunning, spacious and beautifully finished by Nicolette and her amazing woodwork skills and taste. The house sits in its own grounds with two lakes and forest all around. As a professional photographer I wanted something special and this was way beyond anything I could have hoped for. Nicolette is a great host she explained some of the rules for living off grid but to be honest with the amazing water harvesting and solar panels the house just ran like any other but it did make my teenage daughter & I think about what we waist at home. Rooms were warm, clean and cozy, Breakfast was delicious and set us up for each days adventures. As you can probably tell we were very impressed with our visit, so much so that my daughter said its her best holiday ever ... Can't recommend this place highly enough Thank you Nicolette, we will be back again very soon with a much bigger party :) Dave & Eirinn . October 2017
